Labiaplasty before & after

Clinical records from SAP labiaplasty cases performed personally by Dr Kishen Nara across Melbourne, Tasmania and Adelaide. Each photograph is an individual record. Results vary considerably between individuals.

Most cases below are labelled "SAP labiaplasty": SAP stands for Selective Anatomic Preservation, Dr Nara's technique that reshapes the labia while aiming to preserve the deeper blood supply and nerve endings beneath the skin. Read the full technique explanation on the labiaplasty page.

Questions about this gallery

  • 01 Does age matter for labiaplasty?
There is no single right age for labiaplasty: suitability is assessed individually at consultation, based on anatomy, health and goals rather than a stated age. Dr Nara reviews each patient's circumstances before any procedure is considered appropriate. For the full discussion of who labiaplasty may suit, see the labiaplasty page.
  • 02 What are the alternatives to labiaplasty?
Options may include no treatment at all, a non-surgical approach, or a different surgical technique, depending on the concern and anatomy involved. What is appropriate varies from patient to patient and is best worked through at a confidential consultation. The labiaplasty page covers the fuller discussion of options and technique.
  • 03 How should I read the timepoint on these photos?
Each case above states a follow-up timepoint (from 9 days to several months post-procedure) because healing changes the appearance of the area considerably over that period. A photograph taken early in recovery, while swelling and bruising are still settling, looks different from the same case months later. Reading the timepoint first, before comparing anatomy between cases, gives a more honest read of what any photograph can and cannot show.
