Penile augmentation in Tasmania.
Dr Kishen Nara consults on penile augmentation at the Cooee rooms on Tasmania's north-west coast — the primary Tasmania consult location, where most Tasmanian consultations are held. For patients in the south, alternate consult dates are scheduled at Hobart approximately every two months. The consultation is confidential, with a chaperone present. Penile augmentation alters girth or shape using non-surgical techniques and is distinct from penile lengthening, a separate surgical procedure.
The conversation
Confidentiality, suitability, realistic expectations
A penile augmentation consultation with Dr Nara in Tasmania is confidential and unhurried. The Cooee rooms are the primary Tasmania consult location, and most Tasmanian patients are seen there, in a private examination room with a chaperone present. Dr Nara will discuss what you are hoping to change, examine the relevant anatomy, review your medical history, and talk through which technique — if any — is appropriate for you. Suitability is assessed honestly: not everyone who enquires is a suitable candidate, and that is said plainly.
The discussion covers the realistic range of outcomes, the limits of what augmentation can achieve, and the full risks. A 100% increase is never the goal — the urethral passage, sensation and blood supply to the soft tissues must be preserved. The option of doing nothing is always a genuine option.
Because Dr Nara visits Tasmania on selected dates rather than weekly, the two-consultation process is generally arranged around the visit cadence, with a formal written cooling-off period in line with Medical Board of Australia guidelines. A Zoom consultation can be the first appointment if you would prefer to begin remotely. A GP referral is required.
Travelling to Cooee — or to Hobart
A practical note for Tasmanian patients
Cooee sits on the Bass Highway, a short drive from Burnie. Patients attend a confidential consultation from across the north-west coast — Burnie, Devonport, Ulverstone, Penguin, Wynyard, Somerset, Latrobe, Smithton — and across to Launceston and the northern midlands. On-site parking is available, and the rooms are quiet around the time of the appointment.
For patients closer to the south — Hobart, Sandy Bay, Glenorchy, New Town, Bellerive, Kingston, Howrah, Moonah and the wider Hobart suburbs — the alternate Hobart consult location runs approximately every two months at 71 Bathurst Street in the centre of the city.
Non-surgical augmentation is generally performed in rooms under local anaesthesia. Where surgical lengthening is being considered, that is a separate operation performed under general anaesthesia at an accredited facility, which may be in Tasmania or on the mainland depending on circumstances. Dr Nara will discuss the practical arrangements at consultation.
The procedure, in brief
Non-surgical augmentation, distinct from lengthening
Penile augmentation at RevAesthetic is performed using injectable techniques — hyaluronic acid filler or fat graft — to alter girth or shape, delivered with specialised technique to targeted points along the shaft. This is cosmetic augmentation only; it is a different procedure from a penile prosthesis implant used to treat erectile dysfunction, which is a urological operation.
A full clinical overview, including the common side effects — discomfort, bruising, numbness or altered sensation, lumps, and asymmetry — and how penile lengthening differs, is on the penile augmentation pillar page. Reading on what the procedure costs and what a written quote includes is in the cost article.
Cosmetic procedures carry risks. These are discussed openly at consultation, in the context of your circumstances. The risks of surgery page gives a fuller factual overview.
