Labiaplasty in Adelaide.

Dr Kishen Nara consults on labiaplasty at the Henry Rooms in Stepney, on selected dates throughout the year. The Stepney address sits in a quiet inner-east street chosen for discretion and parking. Reception will confirm the next available consult date when you enquire.

The conversation

Two consultations, around the visit dates

A labiaplasty consultation with Dr Nara in Adelaide is generally an hour. The Henry Rooms are quiet, the consulting room is private, and a chaperone is present throughout the examination. Dr Nara will examine the anatomy, explain the technique options — selective anatomic preservation (SAP) and the simpler trim approach — and discuss which may suit your circumstances. He will also talk about the option of doing nothing as a real option.

Because Dr Nara visits Adelaide on selected dates rather than weekly, the two-consultation process is generally arranged around the visit cadence. The first consultation can be in person at Stepney, or — particularly for patients who would prefer to begin remotely — by Zoom. A second consultation before any commitment is encouraged, often during the next in-person visit.

A formal written cooling-off period applies between consultation and any cosmetic procedure, in line with Medical Board of Australia guidelines. A second medical opinion is encouraged at any stage.

Coming to Stepney

A practical note on the rooms

The Henry Rooms sit on Nelson Street, Stepney, in Adelaide's inner east. The address was chosen for discretion and parking — the street is quiet, parking is straightforward, and the rooms are away from the busier inner-city footfall. Patients travel to Stepney from across metropolitan Adelaide — Norwood, Kent Town, Burnside, Walkerville, Glenside, Magill, Marryatville, North Adelaide, Prospect, Unley, Parkside, Hyde Park, Malvern, Mile End, Henley Beach, Glenelg, Brighton, the Adelaide Hills and the foothills — and from regional South Australia, including the Barossa, Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier, Port Pirie and Whyalla, when the visit dates align.

The Stepney location is well-served by major arterial roads from the south, north and east. For patients coming from further afield, Adelaide Airport is a short drive away. If you need help planning a same-day visit, reception can advise.

Procedures themselves are performed at accredited Australian hospital facilities. Depending on the procedure and your circumstances, this may be in South Australia or interstate; Dr Nara will discuss the practicalities with you at consultation.

The procedure, in brief

Selective anatomic preservation

The selective anatomic preservation (SAP) technique is the approach generally used. SAP preserves the natural anatomical landmarks of the labia minora while reducing the soft-tissue volume that is the patient's concern. The aim is a result that fits the patient's anatomy rather than a generic appearance. Other techniques may be more appropriate in some cases, depending on individual anatomy.

A full clinical overview, including risks and recovery, is on the labiaplasty pillar page. The labiaplasty patient resources hub carries the longer-form companion guides on consult preparation and week-by-week recovery — useful reading either before or between the two consultations.

Cosmetic surgery carries risks. These are discussed openly at consultation, in the context of your circumstances. The risks of surgery page gives a fuller factual overview.
