01Article · Girth augmentation
Penile girth augmentation —
what it addresses and what consultation covers.
Girth augmentation is distinct from penile lengthening and is not intended to treat erectile dysfunction or urinary problems. RevAesthetic provides consultations for non-surgical penile augmentation only. This article explains what girth means, the limits of the clinic's service, potential risks and the questions to discuss with Dr Nara.
02In short
Girth augmentation and penile lengthening are separate procedures. RevAesthetic provides consultations only for non-surgical penile augmentation. Penile lengthening, penile fat grafting and other surgical girth procedures are not offered. Suitability, potential risks and uncertainty are discussed with Dr Nara before the clinic provides a quote.
03What girth augmentation actually changes
Circumference, not length —
and not function.
Penile girth augmentation relates to the circumference of the shaft. It is distinct from penile lengthening and is not intended to treat erectile dysfunction or urinary problems. These concerns require separate assessment.
RevAesthetic's penile augmentation service is non-surgical. It does not include penile lengthening, penile fat grafting or another surgical girth procedure. Whether the service may be suitable for you is assessed during consultation, not decided from a website.
Girth augmentation is not a treatment for erectile dysfunction or performance concerns. If you have a functional concern, discuss it with your usual doctor. Dr Nara may advise against cosmetic care when it is not appropriate for you.
04Service scope discussed at consultation
One service scope,
with clear boundaries.
- 01RevAesthetic consultations for girth concerns relate only to non-surgical penile augmentation.
- 02Penile lengthening is a separate procedure and is not offered at RevAesthetic.
- 03Penile fat grafting and other surgical girth procedures are not offered at RevAesthetic.
Dr Nara discusses whether non-surgical penile augmentation may be suitable after reviewing your anatomy, medical history and goals. The consultation also covers potential risks, uncertainty and the option of doing nothing.
05Who is a suitable candidate
Suitability is a clinical question —
answered at consultation.
Not everyone who enquires will be suitable. Dr Nara assesses each person individually and may advise against proceeding. The factors discussed include:
- 01You have realistic expectations about what girth augmentation does and does not change.
- 02Your goals are your own — not a partner's, not a result you have seen online, not a comparison to another person.
- 03You have been examined and a baseline measurement has been taken. Goals are set against your anatomy, not in absolute terms.
- 04You understand that potential risks and uncertainty need to be discussed before you decide whether to proceed.
- 05You are not pursuing the procedure under pressure, coercion, or in an active mental-health context where another conversation should come first.
If the consultation raises concerns about pressure, expectations or distress, Dr Nara may advise that you do not proceed. Doing nothing remains an option.
06What a realistic outcome looks like
Outcomes vary,
and uncertainty remains.
Outcomes for girth augmentation are usefully described across five dimensions, because a single number is rarely the most useful thing to discuss. The five points below are the framework we use at the consultation:
- 01Change varies between patients. A specific measurement or appearance cannot be promised in advance.
- 02Asymmetry and surface irregularities can occur and may persist.
- 03Temporary or persistent changes in sensation are possible.
- 04Urinary or erectile concerns need individual medical assessment and are not treated by cosmetic girth augmentation.
- 05How long a change may remain varies between patients and is discussed during consultation.
Outcomes vary and no specific change can be promised. Dr Nara discusses the limits of what can be assessed before any procedure and the possibility that the result may differ from your expectations.
07Risks, in plain language
Potential risks,
discussed at consultation.
All cosmetic procedures carry risks. The list below is not exhaustive; it is the set of common items that come up in the consent discussion for girth augmentation at this clinic:
- 01Pain, tenderness, bruising and swelling.
- 02Temporary or persistent changes in shape.
- 03Numbness or altered sensation, which may be temporary or persistent.
- 04Lumps, asymmetry or other irregularities.
- 05Vascular complications, which can be serious.
- 06Infection.
- 07Dissatisfaction with the result or a result that differs from what you expected.
This list is not exhaustive. Dr Nara discusses risks relevant to your medical history and anatomy during consultation. A second opinion from a qualified health professional is encouraged before any cosmetic procedure.
08Recovery
Recovery varies,
from one patient to another.
Recovery differs between patients. Dr Nara discusses expected discomfort, activity restrictions and after-care after assessing you. The clinic does not promise a set recovery time online.
Follow the written after-care instructions provided for you. Contact the clinic if symptoms worsen, if you are unsure about returning to an activity, or if something does not feel right.
Individual recovery and outcomes remain uncertain. The consultation is the place to ask how your work, travel and other commitments may affect the timing of care.
09Frequently asked questions
Questions patients —
ask before booking.
Is girth augmentation the same as lengthening?
No. Girth augmentation relates to circumference, while penile lengthening relates to apparent length. They are distinct procedures. RevAesthetic provides consultations for non-surgical penile augmentation and does not offer penile lengthening.
How long do the results last?
The duration varies between patients and cannot be promised in advance. Dr Nara discusses uncertainty, expected changes and follow-up during consultation. The website does not provide a fixed duration because individual outcomes differ.
Will the procedure affect sensation or erectile function?
Changes in sensation and other complications are part of the risk discussion. Individual risk cannot be predicted from a website. Dr Nara discusses the risks relevant to you after assessing your medical history and anatomy.
Is the procedure painful?
Discomfort and pain vary between patients. Dr Nara discusses what you may experience, after-care and when to contact the clinic during consultation. The clinic cannot predict how much discomfort you will experience.
When can I resume sexual activity?
The timing depends on your individual assessment and recovery. Follow the written after-care instructions provided for you and contact the clinic if you are unsure. Do not rely on a general online timeframe for this decision.
What about the cost?
Penile girth augmentation is private. Medicare and private health insurance do not apply. The full explanation is in our note on penile augmentation cost in Australia. A written quote is provided after consultation with Dr Nara.
Does RevAesthetic offer surgical girth procedures?
No. RevAesthetic does not offer penile fat grafting, penile lengthening or other surgical girth procedures. Consultations at this clinic relate only to non-surgical penile augmentation.
